  • organic compounds that contain iron, calcium,
  • vitamins A and C,
  • various enzymes.

The healing properties of figs were already known in Ancient Egypt, Greece, Arabia and other countries. Avicenna recommends using it for dozens of different diseases, but mainly for fevers, malaria, measles, acne, boils, tumors and ulcers, as an antidote and cosmetic.

For what diseases is it used?

Figs are well absorbed by the body and have great nutritional value. The plant has a diuretic, mild laxative, expectorant, emollient, enveloping, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect.

A decoction of dried leaves and roots is used for diarrhea.

A warm decoction of the fruit in milk is recommended for dry cough, whooping cough, swelling of the vocal cords, sore throat, and other throat diseases. It is believed that a decoction of the fruit helps relieve kidney stones.

Boiled fruits applied to abscesses accelerate their ripening.

Fresh figs are used for stomach diseases and anemia.

Milky juice - for the treatment of wounds and acne.

Mode of application

Boil two tablespoons of dried figs in 1 glass of milk and grind. Take half a glass, warm, 2-4 times a day.

Contraindications

In case of diabetes mellitus and acute inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, the consumption of figs is contraindicated.
