beans

Beans are an annual herbaceous plant with fruits - beans, incorrectly called “pods”.

Description and composition

The fruits ripen in August - September.

For treatment, the leaves of the “pods” (beans) and seeds are used.

Green beans are especially beneficial for health.

Bean seeds contain the following beneficial substances:

  • potassium,
  • phosphorus,
  • zinc,
  • copper,
  • proteins,
  • amino acids - tryptophan, lysine, arginine, tyrosine, methionine.

100 grams of beans contain half the daily dose of zinc that the body needs.

The following beneficial components have been identified in green beans:

  • vitamins B1, B2, B3, C, K,
  • beta-carotene,
  • folic acid,
  • calcium,
  • copper,
  • iron,
  • magnesium,
  • manganese,
  • phosphorus,
  • potassium,
  • cellulose,
  • Omega-3 fatty acids,
  • protein.

Properties used in treatment

Proteins and amino acids can serve to some extent as a substitute for animal proteins, and zinc is involved in the synthesis of certain enzymes, hormones and insulin by the human body.

Scientific studies have shown that bean seeds contain the biogenic compound phytohemagglutinin, which stimulates the phagocytic (protective) activity of leukocytes and the growth of granulations, resulting in the disinfection of lesions and their rapid healing.

The beneficial substances contained in green beans help you gain and maintain good physical shape for a long time. Vitamin K promotes rapid healing, vitamin C strengthens cell walls, B vitamins support the normal functioning of the nervous system and charge the body with energy.

The combination of substances and vitamins strengthens blood vessels, makes them flexible, prevents the appearance of cholesterol deposits on their walls, which allows blood to circulate freely throughout the body, creating the prerequisites for the normal functioning of all organs and systems.

Diseases

Studies have shown that bean pods can remove sugar from the blood. Therefore, a liquid extract has been developed that is used to treat diabetes.

In folk medicine, an aqueous infusion of dry bean pods is used for this purpose.

The same infusion is used

  • for kidney disease,
  • Bladder,
  • with the formation of stones in the urinary organs,
  • for gout,
  • high blood pressure,
  • sciatica.

In addition, it has been proven that the water infusion of the “pods” has a disinfecting effect (a natural antibiotic).

It is useful to include beans in the menu when

  • anemia (develops with inflammatory bowel diseases and infection with worms ),
  • weakening of the body,
  • inflammatory diseases.

Methods of application

Boil 15-20 grams of dry crushed bean husks for 3-4 hours over low heat in 1 liter of water, cool. Take half a glass 4-5 times a day.

Include bean seeds in your diet.
