Suspension in a bottle of 100 mg (30 and 50 ml).
Lyophilisate for infusion in a 50 mg bottle.
Ointment 3% in tubes of 15 and 30 g.
Spectrum of action
Active against leishmania; used for primary amoebic meningitis and as a systemic antifungal agent.
Treatment regimen
Leishmaniasis , negleriosis: intravenously for adults - 50 mg, children - 1-1.5 mg per 1 kg of body weight at a rate of 0.2-0.3 mg/kg per hour in 400 ml of 5% glucose solution for 21 days or 3 mg/kg for 10 days.
Adults and children: test dose of 1 mg in 20 ml of 5% glucose solution for 1 hour.
Locally: apply to affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day.
