Mechanism and spectrum of action

An anthelmintic drug that disrupts the neuromuscular system of helminths, causing paralysis of the nematode muscles. It is highly effective, 90-95%. With a repeated course, the effectiveness is 100%.

Contraindications are organic diseases of the central nervous system, hypersensitivity to piperazine adipate.

Ascariasis

Adults are prescribed 1.5-2 g of the drug 2 times a day for 2 days.

  • Children under 1 year of age should take 0.2 g per dose 2 times a day (0.4 g per day),
  • children 2-3 years old - 0.3 g per dose 2 times a day (0.6 g per day),
  • children 4-5 years old - 0.5 g per dose 2 times a day (1 g per day),
  • children 6-8 years old - 0.75 g per dose 2 times a day (1.5 g per day),
  • children 9-12 years old - 1 g per dose 2 times a day (2 g per day),
  • children 13-15 years old - 1.5 g per dose 2 times a day (3 g per day).

The medicine is taken 1 hour before meals or 0.5-1 hour after meals.

It can be taken once a day in a daily dose depending on age.

Course – 2 days in a row.

Enterobiasis

The drug is taken in the same doses for 5 days in a row. If the discharge is persistent - 1-3 cycles every 7 days; between cycles you should do an enema at night.
